Private Workshop Request Form

Thank you for your interest in arranging a private workshop with Arbutus Folk School! We are looking forward to hearing from you!

A few things to keep in mind:

Payment options are flexible for cash, check, and credit, but only one payment can be accepted for the full group; individual payments by participants are not accepted.
We are happy to work with you to schedule your private workshop, but bear in mind that we must coordinate your group's scheduling preferences with the teaching artist's and the studio's availability.
Due to the nature of glass and ceramic arts, which require a period of time for kiln firing and finishing, group leaders can expect to pick up completed items at Arbutus Folk School two weeks after the workshop takes place.

Group Size

Minimum group size for glass workshops is 7 students. Minimum group size for ceramics workshops is 5 students. Large groups may need to be split into smaller groups; please contact us if this is a concern.

Program Request

Glass workshops take place in the artist’s waterfront studio 10 minutes from Interstate 5/West Olympia in the New Kamilche area. This address will be shared when program details have been confirmed.

Glass Workshop Request (see table below)

Glass Sculpture	Assemble different sizes of glass lenses, glass tubing, and prisms to create your own glass robot, animal, or other objet d'art.	2 hours	$95/student
Fused Glass Tile	Cut glass and arrange into a colorful mosaic tile.	2-3 hours	$125/student
Kiln-cast Glass Leaves	Place pieces of colored glass into leaf-shaped molds for firing.	2-3 hours	$125/student
Glass Relief Tile	Press leaves or other textured objects into clay, pour plaster over your design, and use your mold to create a kiln-cast tile.	3-4 hours	$150/student

Wheelthrowing Experience (on-site only)	Try your hand at throwing clay on the potter's wheel while learning about the art and craft of ceramics. No take-home project.	2 hours	$25/student
