As an option, though not necessary, a family member or friend may speak in remembrance of the deceased—or read a short poem or prayer. We ask that only one person be invited to do this, and that they limit their remarks to one page (2-3 minutes in length). If you do choose to have someone say a few words at the funeral, THOSE REMARKS MUST BE REVIEWED BY THE PRIEST BEFOREHAND. Another place to consider remarks is at the Wake or Calling Hours. In fact, this is the best place to offer remarks of remembrance.
