  • Selecting more than 12 panels would require an inverter greater than 3.68 kWh output. As Solar PV sytems are connected to the grid, there are two standards in place to manage the installaltions, G98 & G99.

    G98
    This applies to generation systems upto an output of 3.68 kWh. There are no restrictions for these size systems as the grid can currently cope with this extra amount therefore an application can be processed after installation up to 28 days.

    G99 
    This applies to generation systems above 3.68 kWh. This size installation requires permisison from the district network operator therefore an application would need to be processed before installation to check if the grid can cope with the additonal amount of power. This process takes a little longer and adds further costs to the installation.
