The Matt Aulbert Scholarship
Thank you for your interest in The Matt Aulbert Scholarship, dedicated to helping young students between the ages of 7-17 pursue their passion for music. This scholarship is established in memory of our beloved former student, Matt Aulbert, who left us in 2021. Scholarship Rules & Restrictions apply (please read below and sign before submitting this application).
Application Criteria
The Matt Aulbert Scholarship at Pottshouse Music School is established to provide financial assistance to talented and dedicated students who aspire to further their musical education. This scholarship is hosted by Pottshouse Music School and aims to make music education accessible to individuals with limited financial means while promoting commitment and dedication to musical learning.Application Criteria:To be eligible for The Matt Aulbert Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: Demonstrated financial need. A passion for and commitment to music education. Compliance with the specific application process as outlined by Pottshouse Music School.Scholarship Benefits:The scholarship offers support for a period of up to one year, which includes: Private lessons or classes at Pottshouse Music School. The provision of a musical instrument suitable for the chosen program (piano, voice, guitar, drums, bass, or ukulele).Rules and Restrictions: Minimum Commitment: Recipients are required to commit to a minimum period of 3 months before discontinuing lessons or returning the provided instrument. Use of the Instrument: The instrument provided is to be used exclusively for educational purposes. Any commercial or personal use is strictly prohibited. Early Termination Penalties: If the recipient quits before the minimum commitment period, they must return the instrument in good condition within 14 days. The recipient may be required to repay a portion of the scholarship funds or instrument cost if they terminate their scholarship early. Instrument Damage: If the provided instrument is damaged during the scholarship period, the recipient is responsible for the cost of repairs or replacement as determined by Pottshouse Music School. Change of Circumstances: In the event of exceptional circumstances, scholarship recipients may request a modification or extension of the scholarship terms. Communication: Open communication is encouraged. Scholarship recipients should promptly address any concerns or issues with Pottshouse Music School. Transparency: Scholarship recipients should carefully review these guidelines and fully understand their obligations before accepting the scholarship. Reapplication: Students who have previously received the scholarship but quit before the year ends may be eligible to reapply in the future.
