Since 1997, Colorado Preservation, Inc's Endangered Places Program has been a catalyst for historic preservation statewide. By developing a three-pronged approach bringing awareness, advocacy, and assistance to threatened resources, the program has been successful helping Coloradans save the historic places that matter to them.
Thank you for your commitment to your resource and for taking the necessary time to submit a application. By submitting this form you are taking the first step in support of your endangered place. All nominated sites will be reviewed by preservation professionals statewide. Your assigned reviewer will represent your site through the selection process and will have approximately three weeks in September to visit the location and meet with supporters. Reviewers will rank and discuss nominated sites at regional and statewide review meetings. Final selection will be determined by Colorado Preservation, Inc. board and staff based on reviewer recommendations and discussions. Final selections will be made in October and you can expect to hear back on your nomination status by the end of December.
Please note resource selection takes into consideration: significance, urgency of threat, level of community support, what a "save" would look like for the property, and how CPI can assist. Resource type and location are also considered.
