Terms and conditions of the contract:

We reserve the right to refuse puppy sales to anyone at any time for any reason! 

Deposits: Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to a waitlist or a different puppy. 

Payment: 

To make the payment process easy, stress-free, and safe customers have the option to complete a cash payment upon the pick up of their puppy or an electronic payment. A puppy will be considered yours once your Deposit and Final Payment are received. If you need delivery, all shipping fees will be due along with the remaining balance of your puppy. Paypal fees and tax will be added to all electronic payments. Payments must be received in full 10 days before they can be delivered if you are not picking up in person. 

Fees/Tax: There is a 3.5% fee added to all PayPal transactions. We are also required to collect a 6% sales tax on all puppies by law.

Puppy prices are listed on our website at the time of sale. The price listed is the cost of the puppy as a pet. Chinese Cresteds have small litters of 2-4 puppies on average. Prices reflect litter expenses, time & input into breeding healthy dogs that conform to the standard to produce healthy puppies.

Hairless Males Start at 2500-5000

Hairless Females start at 3500-6000

Puff Male starts at 1500-2500

Puff Females start at 1800-2500

Price is determined by many factors. This list is just an estimate. Once puppies arrive prices will be assigned to each puppy before you make your selection. Prices are not negotiable. 

 

 Breeder Obligations:

 1. Notify the buyer within a week after the of birth of the litter.

 2. Administer the first set of vaccinations and worming for the puppy.

 3. Puppies are dewormed at 2,4,6 weeks of age and again right before leaving.

 4. Provide the puppy with a microchip & provide a health record for the puppy

5. Send photos/videos throughout the development. 

 

 Buyer Obligations:

 1. Your puppy MUST See a vet within 3 days. If your puppy does not see the vet within 3 days of purchase then the whole guarantee will be voided.

2. Keep the puppy in the house as part of the family that is suitable for their needs. You agree to provide a safe and loving home for your puppy, fresh water and quality food appropriate veterinary care including, but not limited to, vaccines and heartworm preventative, a home with a yard, shelter, and adequate room for daily exercise, and companionship.

3. Register the puppy's microchip within 30 days 

4. Puppies that are being transported with our shipper must be paid for in full before the puppy can leave. 

8. Spay & Neuter your puppy by 15 months of age. Provide proof of this procedure to Qilin. This contract is for pets only. Show puppies will go on a separate contract. 

9. Transportation is the buyers responsibility and expense. Qilin is not responsible for shipping or anything related to shipping. If Puppy Buyer decides to ship the puppy Qilin does not accept responsibility for any health issues aside from genetic issues that may arise.  

 

 Vaccine reccomendations

Distemper + Parvovirus was administered at 8, & 10 weeks and again between 14 & 16 weeks of age. 1x a year thereafter. 5-ways, lepto, and Lyme are not recommended for this breed due to vaccine-related reactions.

Rabies-give 3-4 weeks apart from other vaccines.

Visits: Due to scheduling, the safety of our home, health of our dogs and puppies; It is understood that visits without an appointment are not allowed and are not scheduled until the puppies have received their first round of vaccines or are ready to go home by families who have made a deposit on a specific pup or litter. Usually around 8 weeks of age!

 

Delivery: If your puppy must be transported it must be with a USDA ground shipper or Flight Nanny it is up to you as the buyer to arrange and pay the costs associated with that. There will be a $50.00 fee to cover the extra certificate needed for puppies to be shipped via ground or fly-in cabin. 

Pick Up: We do not hold puppies for extended periods. Puppies must be picked up by an agreed-upon date. If you fail to collect your puppy and a date is not scheduled for pick up Qilin has the right to list the pup for resell. We can board puppies for $25 a day until pick up as long as it's for no more than 10 days. 

We know we have done our best in raising your new family member. All pups leaving our home will have already been micro-chipped. Any pup/dog being returned must match their said microchip number in order for this guarantee to be honored.

[1] General Health Guarantee - 3 days Your new puppy is warranted to be in good health and to be virus-free for up to 3 days.

 

[A] GENERAL HEALTH

Qilin certifies that, upon Puppy Buyer’s receipt, the puppy is in good health and has been given their first set of vaccinations, has been dewormed, and provided with a health record.

Puppy Buyer can return the puppy at Puppy Buyer’s expense for a full refund up to the cost of the puppy if it develops an illness within three days of pick up. If during examination by Puppy Buyer’s veterinarian, a genetic issue is found and documented in writing by the examining veterinarian, the puppy may also be returned at Puppy Buyer’s expense for a full refund up to the cost of the puppy.

Any condition that is minor, correctable, or a breed-related minor condition is not covered. Conditions that could go away, or are considered to be a condition that a puppy will likely grow out of are not covered. The conditions not covered include but are not limited to the presence of external parasites such as fleas, ticks, lice, mites, mange, etc., or internal parasites such as roundworms, whipworms, hookworms, tapeworms, giardia, coccidia, poisoning, reproductive problems, accidents, vaccine or medicine-related reactions, umbilical hernias, undescended testicles, viruses, UTI's, lack of veterinary care, veterinary error, lack of training, or behavioral problems.

 A written, signed, and dated statement from your veterinarian is required detailing the symptoms supporting his/her opinion and explaining why this puppy would be a poor health risk. This exam and all associated costs are the buyer’s responsibility. Please note that this is 3 days after the pup leaves our premises. Should a puppy be returned for a refund it must be returned within 24 hours of notifying Qilin of the puppy's illness.

Qilin will not be responsible for any vet expenses or diagnostic testing for any reason. We reserve the right to obtain a second option from another veterinarian of our choosing. If a puppy should die before the extent of this guarantee, a necropsy must be performed within 24 hours of the puppy’s passing to determine the cause. Findings must be forwarded to Qilin directly from the vet.

 

No other warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are made under
this contract except as stated here.

 

It is understood that we do not guarantee size, color, coat texture/type or behavior due to lack of training. 

If your puppy is not working out because of personality issues, we will also work with you to be sure the puppy finds another suitable home. If it is just not working out for any reason, we will gladly take it back and re-home it. This is not a money-back guarantee. We do not offer refunds for returned puppies unless it is a health issue. The buyer is responsible for transportation for the returned puppy. The puppy needs returned with all its paperwork and a documentaion from your vet that it is healthy upon leaving to be returned.

 

 

NON-BREEDING: puppies that are sold as pets and should be spayed/neutered by 15 months of age. Proof of Spay/Neuter is required to be sent to Qilin Chinese Crested by 15 months of age. The buyer understands that the dog is not permitted to produce any litter within its lifetime. If you wish to compete in sports with your puppy you can still register the puppy at your expense and compete in all sports except conformation. 

 

Other Agreements

The breeder hereby released from any and all future liability to the Puppy Buyer with regard to the puppy. Puppy Buyer agrees that from the date they take possession of the puppy, Puppy Buyer accepts all liability for the actions of the puppy and holds Qilin harmless with regard to any and all third parties.

If for any reason the health guarantee is voided the rest of the contract will remain intact.

This contract contains the entire agreement between the Buyer and the seller and no other statements, agreements or attachments, written or verbal, made by either party that are not contained in this written contract shall be valid or binding and be signed by both parties. If any part of this contract is not legal according to local laws, the rest of the contract shall remain unaffected. If any part of this contract is breached by the Buyer the Seller is released from all further obligations.

 The contract & warranty only applies to the original buyer outlined in this contract. If the puppy or dog is sold or transferred to another home the guarantee will be null & void.

In the event of any litigation in connection with this health warranty/contract, by signing this contract, the purchaser agrees to be responsible for the breeder’s attorney fees. Venue and jurisdiction for litigation arising out of or related to this contract shall be exclusively in the breeder’s current county and state.

No other warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are made under this contract except as stated herein.
