    We wish to inform all prospective adopters that we take the welfare of our dogs very seriously. As part of our commitment to ensure they find a safe and loving home, we conduct a background check on all applications for any history of animal abuse or neglect. We believe this measure is essential in protecting our dogs and maintaining our high standards of ethical rehoming practices. Additionally, households that have existing dogs will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

  • What To Expect

     Completing this application is the first step in the process of adopting a dog from Caddo K9 Academy's selective breeding program. The Academy reserves the right to refuse placement at their discresion.

    APPROVAL: Applications will be reviewed within 2 business days of receipt and are processed in the order they are received.

    ADOPTION AGREEMENT: We require a signed agreement for all adoptions to ensure clarity of our mutual obligations. The agreement is thorough to address all aspects of the adoption, and we encourage you to contact us with any questions about specific terms before bringing your dog home.

    SPAY/NEUTER: We prefer that dogs are not spayed or neutered before reaching 18 months, unless the dog is being adopted solely as a pet. If you have questions about the health benefits or timing, feel free to discuss this with our team.
