  • This is an Application Form for Admission to all OTHER year groups ONLY (2nd/3rd/TY/5th/6th Yrs), and does not constitute an offer of a place, implied or otherwise. Use of the word ‘Applicant’ throughout this Application Form refers to the person applying for Admission, and does not imply that the person on whose behalf this application is being made is regarded as having been accepted as a student of Calasanctius College.   Applicants will be notified of the status of their application in a timely manner as soon as it is processed in accordance with our Admission Policy.   On receipt of an offer, Parents/Guardians will be asked to further complete an Enrolment Form and submit it along with supporting documentation by the deadline date specified in the offer letter. 

    Deadline date for applications for admission in the 2025/2026 academic year is March 31st 2025

    Should any information supplied on this application form be invalid or become invalid, it is the responsibility of Parents/Guardians to contact the School Office immediately in writing and provide information needed to update the application. Failure to do so may render an application invalid, and may result in the applicant being refused admission to the school, or may result in a later decision to enrol the applicant being revoked. 

    All applications for the 2025/2026 school year will be processed in accordance with our 2025/2026 Admissions Policy which is available on the school website (www.calasanctius.ie) and should be read prior to completing this application form.   The information requested on this application form is required in order to process your application for admission to the school.   The information provided by you will be treated confidentially and processed in line with the school's Admission Policy.

    Any personal data provided on this form will be used to:

    (i) identify applicants

    (ii) process an application in line with the school's Admission Policy

    (iii) communicate with Parents/Guardians in respect of an application

    (iv) notify Parents/Guardians of the outcome of an application

    The information will be retained for an appropriate period thereafter to address any potential queries arising from the application process or added to the student's file in the case of successful applicants.

    In accordance with section 66(6) of the Education Act 1998, as amended, personal data relating to applications for admission may be shared with the Board of Management of another school or the patron in order to facilitate the efficient admission of students.   This information may include the date on which an application was received by the school, the date on which an offer was made and the date on which an offer was accepted.   Personal information concerning applicants may also be shared, including their name, address, date of birth and PPS number.

  • Section 3 - Parent's/Guardian's Details

    This information is sought for the purposes of making contact about this application. Please note only Parent/Guardian #1 listed will be sent all communication from the school via email and/or text message. Please check inbox, junk, spam, clutter etc. folders for emails. Please be aware, that in the case of more than one Parent/Guardian details being submitted, but the postal address is the same, ALL communication will continue to be sent to Parent/Guardian #1 ONLY. This section does not need to be completed if the applicant is over 18yrs of age at the time of applying, unless s/he wishes the school to communicate with his/her parent(s)/guardian(s).

  • Section 4 - Special Class for Autistic Students

    The Special Class for Autistic students in Calasanctius College provides an education exclusively for students whose educational needs fall within the category of special educational needs provided for, by the Special Class. Each applicant must apply for a place in mainstream BEFORE applications to the Special Class will be reviewed. Please refer to Section 4 of the Admissions Policy for further details.
  • Please ONLY COMPLETE this section if you answered 'YES' to the above, and are applying for admission to the ASD Class. If you are not applying for the Special Class, please proceed to Section 5 below.

  • As per the school's Admission Policy, only applicants who meet the specified eligibility criteria provided for in the Specail Class will be deemed suitable for consideration. The following should accompany this application:

    • professional confirmation of an ASD diagnosis
    • a supporting professional recommendation for post-primary specialised provision by a relevant clinician within the last 12 months

    Please ensure the file upload(s) are named by applicant eg: ASD Report of Joe Bloggs

    NOTE: Failure to attach the above requested supporting documentation will render the application form incomplete, and nullify the application.

    This information will assist us in determining whether the applicant meets the admission requirements in accordance with the order of priority as set out in Section 15 of the Admission Policy 2025/2026 for Calasanctius College.
