Athlete Handbook & Code of Conduct Acknowledgment* This field is required.RipTide Volleyball Academy is committed to providing a positive, competitive, and respectful environment for all athletes. Athletes are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship, integrity, accountability, and respect both on and off the court. By acknowledging below, the athlete and parent/guardian confirm that they have received, read, and understand the RipTide Volleyball Academy Athlete Handbook and agree to comply with all club policies, procedures, expectations, and codes of conduct outlined therein. Athletes are expected to: - Attend practices, tournaments, and team functions as scheduled. - Arrive on time and prepared to participate. - Demonstrate respect toward coaches, teammates, officials, opponents, and spectators. - Maintain a positive attitude and sportsmanlike behavior. - Follow all team, facility, tournament, and club rules. - Communicate respectfully with coaches and teammates. - Represent RipTide Volleyball Academy in a positive manner both in person and online. - Refrain from bullying, harassment, inappropriate language, or unsportsmanlike conduct. - Accept responsibility for their actions and contribute positively to the team environment. Failure to follow club policies or the Athlete Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or removal from team activities at the discretion of RipTide Volleyball Academy.

Anti-Bullying, Harassment & Hazing Policy* This field is required.RipTide Volleyball Academy is committed to providing a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all athletes, families, coaches, and staff. Bullying, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, hazing, cyberbullying, or any behavior that creates a hostile or unsafe environment will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to: • Physical bullying or intimidation • Verbal abuse, threats, or name-calling • Social exclusion or targeting of individuals • Harassment based on race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, national origin, or any other protected characteristic • Hazing activities of any kind • Cyberbullying through text messages, social media, GroupMe, email, or other electronic communication platforms • Sharing inappropriate, harmful, or embarrassing content about another athlete, parent, coach, or club representative Athletes and parents are expected to treat all participants with dignity, respect, and sportsmanship both on and off the court. Any athlete, parent, coach, or spectator who engages in bullying, harassment, hazing, or retaliatory behavior may be subject to disciplinary action, including suspension or permanent dismissal from RipTide Volleyball Academy. All reports of bullying, harassment, or hazing will be taken seriously and investigated by club leadership.

Assumption of Risk* This field is required.I understand participation in volleyball involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, and injuries. I voluntarily allow my athlete to participate in all RipTide Volleyball Academy activities and assume all associated risks. Emergency Medical Authorization In the event of an emergency, I authorize RipTide Volleyball Academy staff, coaches, or representatives to obtain emergency medical treatment for my athlete if I cannot be reached immediately.

Photo & Video Release* This field is required.I hereby grant RipTide Volleyball Academy, its coaches, staff, representatives, and authorized affiliates permission to photograph, record, and/or capture the likeness, image, voice, and participation of my athlete during practices, tournaments, training sessions, camps, clinics, team events, and other club-related activities. I understand that these photographs, videos, recordings, and other media may be used by RipTide Volleyball Academy for purposes including, but not limited to: - Club website content - Social media platforms - Marketing and advertising materials - Promotional publications - Recruitment materials - Team recognition and achievements - Newsletters and club communications I understand that no compensation will be provided for the use of such photographs, videos, recordings, or other media. I further understand that RipTide Volleyball Academy may edit, reproduce, publish, distribute, or display these materials in print, digital, electronic, or other formats now known or later developed. I release and hold harmless RipTide Volleyball Academy, its directors, employees, coaches, volunteers, and representatives from any claims, demands, or liabilities arising from the use of such media, including claims related to privacy, publicity, or copyright. This authorization shall remain in effect for the duration of the athlete's participation with RipTide Volleyball Academy unless revoked in writing.

Team Communication:

RipTide Volleyball Academy uses GroupMe as our primary communication platform for athletes and parents.

Important information such as practice schedules, tournament details, weather updates, team announcements, and club communications will be shared through GroupMe.

If you have not already done so, please download the GroupMe app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and join your team's group using the link below.
