  •  Program and Services Overview:
     
    M3 Equine LLC is a privately owned and operated business. Chelsea instructs or oversees all instructing with over 28 years involved in the Tucson horse community and over 15 years of teaching experience. This facility teaches western style horsemanship. All levels of riding are welcomed, and Chelsea will personally individualize all lesson plans to meet the needs and goals of the rider. You will learn walk, trot, canter, specialized techniques, gymkhana style riding patterns as well as common horsemanship drills and skills.
     
    o   Services of this facility are only offered to active riding students.
    o   All participants must commit to one month of lessons/training at a time.
    o   Horsemanship lessons and trail rides are the main focus of this program.
    o   Haul in lessons are accepted for riders who have their own horses and tack but want to improve on their skills but riders must commit to one month of lessons at a time - per insurance standards.
    o   Traveling instructor lessons available on request dependent on availability.
    o   Specialized training/tune up services for privately owned horses are also available upon request. Rates discussed and are based on the individualized needs and goals for the horse.  
     
    Rates:
    o   60 minute group lessons- $65
    o   Trail Rides- $75  
    o   Private personalized one on one lessons may be discussed and available upon special request (depending on availability) for $85/hour.
    o   Travel-to-you lessons vary on availability and distance. $85-$100/hr.
    o   Horse training rates determined on an individual basis.
     
    Payment:
    o   Payment for all services is due prior to or at the time of lesson. Currently, only cash and check are accepted. There will be no billing in the lag so please come prepared with your payment. There will be a box to label and drop off payment on the side of the tack room.
    o   Make Checks payable to Chelsea Menke.
     
    Cancelation Policy:
    o   Due to the want to keep this facility intimate with a high quality of instruction for our participants we will only take on a handful of riders per week. We kindly ask for 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your scheduled lesson. We understand extenuating and unexpected circumstances occur. Please notify Chelsea ASAP if you are unable to make it. Otherwise, you will be charged the full cost of the lesson if you no call/no show or give less than 24 hour notice.
     
    Attire:
    o   All riders under the age of 18 must wear approved protective riding helmet.
    o   Please dress appropriately for the weather.
    o   Jeans or pants are required for riding safely and comfortably.
    o   Riders must wear close toed shoes (preferably riding boots).
    o   Riders over the age of 18 can ride with a hat or cowboy hat if preferred.
     
    There is a maximum weight capacity of 250 pounds for a rider.

  • Ranch Rules
     
    1.    Safety is the number one priority. All riders (regardless of experience) will have their introductory lesson surrounding horse safety and appropriate horsemanship.
    2.    All participants must have up to date paperwork completed by their first lesson.
    3.    All participants, parents, guests and visitors must sign a release of liability waiver prior to coming on property. Extra waivers are always available upon request and there will always be a stack in the tack room.
    4.    Please show up to your scheduled lesson time. This is a horsemanship facility which means we teach and value the care of your equine partner as much as we do you gaining riding experiences. Your lesson time of 60 minutes includes grooming, tacking/untacking, riding, cool down and aftercare for the horse.
    5.    Please remember that this is a private residence and is closed to the public outside of the designated lesson times. We kindly ask that you stay south of the fruit trees in the backyard. There is a designated seating area for guests and an outdoor bathroom open for use.
    6.    For safety purposes and best practice, no guests are allowed inside of the arena during mounted riding time.
    7.    No outside dogs are allowed on property.
    8.    No smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages on property.
    9.    Please be respectful of our equine partners, our property, our instructors and each other at all times!
