Statistics show that 38 percent of new CEOs fail within the first 18 months on the job – and their failures have little to do with skills, competencies or knowledge. Their failures were more often the result of ego, pride and lack of emotional intelligence.
These internal character traits cannot be overcome and changed by learning new management tactics or better ways of communicating – though many have tried. It’s only through Jesus that we can overcome pride, fear, ego, external pressures, and our insecurities.
