APAP|NYC will celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service (MLK Day) with a service opportunity designed specifically for arts professionals gathered for the upcoming conference:  The Mentor for a Moment Service Event.  

The Mentor for a Moment offers APAP professionals a chance to connect with and inspire pre-professional students who are interested in pursuing a career in the live performing arts presenting, booking and touring industry.

This event encourages attendees to give an hour of their time to share their origin story and professional insights with a pre-professional student and engage in meaningful exchange in their communities.

By signing up to participate on Monday, January 15th for 60 minutes,  conference participants will briefly share their professional career story, what they do, and why they do it with students exploring this field. You’ll also have the chance to field questions from students about your role in the field and share career advice, while you learn about students’ own aspirations for a career in the live performing arts.
