Precautions (please read carefully)
• The Image Treatment you will receive is a clinical treatment designed to exfoliate or remove the outer layers of the skin.
• Your participation in your skin care treatments will determine the outcome. It is important that you strictly adhere to your home care products that your esthetician has recommended.
• No guarantee is expressed or implied as to the precise results, peeling times or discomfort.
• Depending on the treatment you may experience some temporary stinging, warmth, or flushing. You may experience tightening and minor itching of the skin, which commonly lasts for 1-3 days. It is also normal for areas treated to become darker before sloughing begins. Please be patient 😊
• For most, light flaking begins within 48-72 hours. It is impossible to pre-determine how much peeling will occur. The shedding process usually subsides within 5-7 days.
• Please avoid glycolic acid products, Retin-A, Salicylic Acid, Hydroquinone, and skin exfoliation scrubs for 72 h ours both before and after a treatment. (Be advised that some of our peels will need you to use certain products to prep the skin for the peel such as: glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or a pigment controller for your skin. Your aesthetician will notify you if this is the case with the peel treatment you are receiving)
• Avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds for 7+ days after treatment, using mineral based sun protection when sun exposure is unavoidable.
• During the peeling process do not pick at the skin as this may cause scarring. Allow the skin to shed and heal naturally. If necessary; apply aloe gel, post-peel cream, hydration spray, hydrocortisone, or barrier sealant to areas affected.
