For all applications for individual funding, you must be up to date with Mandatory Ongoing Learning (this will be checked).

Are you in a full role on My Membership? You cannot apply for funding if your role is Provisional (Lead volunteer or Team leader can advise).

For adventurous activity training, skills training and permits we can fund up to 1/3 of the course costs up to a maximum grant of £200.00. You must apply before the course start date.

The fund cannot offer financial support towards The Scout Association's adult training scheme, which is required of an adult leader.

You can apply multiple times in each finacial year for adventurous activity training, skills training, permits, or first aid training with a maximum of £400 in each financial year.

Application Deadlines

If your application has been submitted 14 days or more before the course start date you should receive an email from Scouts Scotland confirming that payment has been approved.

If you have applied within 5 working days of the course start date you may not receive confirmation that payment has been approved before your course starts.

Applications submitted after the course has been completed will not be approved.
