Rescue Dog Adoption Application

Sacred Pawz Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501c non-profit animal rescue dedicated to the rescue and adoption of stray, and at risk for euthanasia animals. Sacred Pawz Rescue is completely sustained through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster families and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and microchipping prior to their adoption.

This questionnaire is designed to help Sacred Pawz and yourself determine if a specific dog is the right one for you and your household. All adopting parties are required to complete this form prior to adoption. Adoptions through Sacred Pawz is not a first come first serve process. Applications are reviewed for the best fit for each of our adoptable dogs. Applications where questions are left blank will not be processed.

All adoption fees are final. Adopters agree to keep a newly adopted dog for 30 days and follow the instructions of how to introduce a new dog to a new home and, if applicable to other animals for the smoothest transition possible. Adopters who do not follow these instructions risk causing stress to a dog which can be exhibited as behavior isues and increases the chances of the dog being returned. Due to the decompression time needed for an animal to adjust to a new environment, we do not do adoption trials. If you are concerned about an animal fitting in, or getting along with your other animals, we reccommend working with our adoption specialists to set up several meet and greets where everyone can get to know one another over time. This is the least stressful on the animal, and will allow the new family to make an informed decision that benefits the dog in the least disruptive way possible.
