PROJECT ENGINEER
It is the responsibility of the Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager and Company with organizing and coordinating the construction administration necessary for each assigned project. We expect the Project Engineer to also support the on-site staff (frequent communication with superintendents on each operating project is expected) to complete the work on schedule, within the budget and to the quality of workmanship specified.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet at regular intervals with the Project Manager and Company team members as necessary to efficiently complete tasks
- Ensure that requisitions for subcontracts and purchase orders are prepared and submitted on a timely basis
- Gather and input product data from vendors, subs, or other means per design specifications
- Establish and maintain Trainor Builder’s administrative procedure as they relate to the project. More specifically this requires:
- Manage and administrate the construction management software for project administration
- Review project documents including schedule, budget, contracts, etc. for providing project support
- Ensure that additional project costs and issues are submitted and accounted for in a timely manner
Skills required:
- Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization, as well as outside customers and vendors
- Ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus
- Analytical and organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Project is required
