WECOME TO DRAG DISCOVERY NIGHT AT LUSH LOUNGE AND THEATER!
A couple things before you sign-up!
*NEW* PLEASE feel free to utilize our 16:9 video screen! We juyst ask that your audio be included in this file. If your file is too big for the jotform, email it to music@lushmpls.com and include your stage name and the date of discovery night you'll be signing up for.
1. The dressing room will open at 5:30. All contestants will share the main floor dressing room, so be mindful of how much you bring and any innapropriate or non-consentual behaviuor will NOT be tolerated. Thank you in advance for understanding.
2. Call time is 6:30 PM. We will hold a brief check-in meeting and go over the lineup for the evening.
3. Doors open at 6:30 PM. You are free to mingle in the audience before and during the show, just be sure you are present for the check-in and on time for your performance.
4. The show is 18+ and is free to attend. Invite your friends and family to come support you.
5. Remain on stage for your performance. We will encourage those in attendance to approach the stage to tip accordingly. All tips you earn are yours to keep. Please No mess on stage and refrain from touching the LED video wall.
6. Immediately after your performance the mentor will give you live constructive feedback.
7. After all competitor performances, the mentor will narrow the competitors down to the top 2 who will advance on to the June 21st finale and will then perform a lip sync battle to a randomly drawn song from the Cycle playlist. Songs selected are at random and include both male and female artists.
8. After the lip sync battle the mentor will select the winner for the evening.
9. Winners will receive a cash prize of $50 and a $25 gift card to LUSH. In addition, the winner will be invited to perform in the next Mirage:Drag After Dark show as a guest and receive their entrance to the Winners Showcase for a chance to compete to win $500.
10. Weekly winners are excluded from future competitions until after the Winners Showcase, at which time the competition will reset.
Lastly, remember to HAVE FUN! We want this to be a space for everyone to learn and grow.
