A funding initiative with Foster Village Charlotte
The Founder Fund is a funding initiative with Foster Village Charlotte when a request is desired for child(ren) in foster care or a foster, kinship, or reunifying family that is not already met through our current service programs.

These are one-time requests that stablize a family or brings dignity and support for child(ren) experiencing foster care.

There is no guaranteed funding. All requests are vetted through a phone call and email correspondence.

Examples of Village Fund requests that have been funded:
- bereavement support
- a birthday party for a child without a placement
- a headstone for a child who passed in care
- specific comfort request for a child in a group home
- a daycare registration fee paid for a relative that was caring for a child with a safety plan
- washer/dryer for a kinship grandparent
