The Trust will take all practicable steps to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. The volunteer shall comply with all reasonable directions regarding health and safety in the workplace and shall operate all equipment with reasonable care. (a) accidents and/or work-related injuries
(b) irresponsible conduct endangering the safety of the employee or any other person
The volunteer shall notify the Trust within one working day of filing any work-related claim with the ACC or the appropriate ACC-related insurance company and provide the Trust with a copy of any relevant documents. The volunteer shall comply with the Health and Safety policies of the Trust.
Breaches of this clause will be regarded as the most serious and result in the contract being terminated immediately.
Harassement
The Trust considers harassment from volunteers in any form, whether racial, religious, sexual or any other harassment, as a breach of conduct which may result in cancelling of the contract. Any volunteer who considers he or she has been harassed for any reason is advised to contact their manager, or a friend who can approach a senior manager on your behalf.
The Trust undertakes to promptly investigate any complaint, with due respect to the complainant’s wishes.
