Advantix SmartSIM is a multi-carrier SIM that connects to 5 domestic carriers – AT&T, Verizon, TMobile, Cellular One and Union – in the U.S., and 600+ providers globally. There is no need to choose a carrier or worry about pervasive uptime because the SIM enables the device to provide auto failover. In the event of a total loss in carrier signal/coverage, the device will automatically hunt for the next-available carrier as a replacement network.
Based on the device/model, customer-preferred network settings, towers in range, antenna type and signal strength, the device will select what it observes to be the best fail-over connection. That observation may diverge with different devices and even the same devices. Indeed, highly concentrated metros can be served by a half dozen cell towers that overlap. If one of them gets congested with traffic, one device could choose cell tower #2 while another selects cell tower #3. In other words, SmartSIM’s seamless auto-failover for business continuity can be delivered via multiple paths.
Through our discovery, certification and solution optimization processes, every effort is made to set up SmartSIM-enabled devices for optimal performance. Should a connectivity issue arise, our engineering team will mobilize to assist, fine tune the network settings, and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
