    -       Creating content and building the Pozen Center’s online presence via our social media channels, including Facebook, BlueSky, LinkedIn, and Instagram
    -       Writing news stories, event recaps, and other short features for the Pozen Center website
    -       Assisting at events and providing logistical support for Pozen Center programs
    -       Additional duties and projects of personal interest as assigned

The position requires and guarantees at least 10 hours of work per week, logged during a weekly schedule set up with staff, with the exception of additional or rearranged hours to work during Center events. The position is open to students of all years. Much of the work can be done remotely, although in-person support of Pozen events on campus is required. The position begins in January 2025 and ends in May 2024. While we prefer someone who might be available to remain in the position for a second academic year, this is not a requirement.

The student assistant must be a current University of Chicago student, with preference given to Human Rights majors, minors, interns, graduate students, or those otherwise familiar with the Center. The assistant must reliably fulfill deadline requirements, have excellent communication skills, and pay impeccable attention to detail.

Excellent technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva, website content management, social media, writing short articles, and graphic design are strongly preferred. Podcast and video editing is a plus. The student must be able to work independently, interact effectively with supervisors and peers, and exercise good judgment.

    College students: $16.00 per hour
    Graduate students: $18.00 per hour
Student employees will log their hours through Workday and be paid bi-weekly.
