Description of this position:
The job requires 10-15+ cleanings per month at $50- $100 per cleaning. (Depending on the property) You'd have a 5 hour deadline to clean; between 11am and 4pm.
You must have a flexible schedule daily from 11am-4pm every single day. Sometimes we get last minute bookings, which means you may have less than a 24 hour notice of your next cleaning.
You must be able to accept payments online with a 3-7 day processing time.
You must be willing to sign an agreement.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE BEFORE APPLYING: You will be heavily critiqued on performance. We will come view your work almost every time after it’s complete to see if you fully completed the checklist we provide you, and we will search for potential improvements. Absolutely no cleaner does 100% perfect, especially in the beginning, so you WILL be required to come back to make corrections to your work if needed. You would not get paid additionally for doing so. You MUST be ok with redoing work on a regular basis. If you are not ok with correcting issues and being heavily critiqued, this is not the job for you and we urge you not to apply.
NO CLEANING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Pay Breakdown per cleaning:
Private bedrooms or 1 bedroom basements: $50
1-2 Bedroom Apartment: $75
3 Bedroom Home/Apartment: $80
4-6 Bedroom Home: $100
7-10 Bedroom Home: $140

How do you handle criticism when it comes to your job performance?
*
I consider the source of the criticism and weigh its relevance before deciding on any action.
I listen but don't necessarily make changes; after all, you can't please everyone.
I ask for clarification and examples, then work on action points to improve.
I get discouraged and lose motivation to work.
If you notice an issue with the property that you’re cleaning, such as a clogged sink for example, what would you do?
*
Prioritize completing my cleaning tasks, as that's my primary responsibility, and then report the issue after leaving the property.
Take a photo first, inform the property manager, unclog the sink, and continue cleaning while awaiting the property manager's response.
Notify the property manager immediately, pausing all work until I receive a reply.

*
Explain that I followed the standard procedure for mopping and suggest that perhaps the spots are unavoidable.
Acknowledge the oversight, re-mop the missed areas, and thank the manager for pointing it out.
Agree to re-mop but ask the manager if they can provide a better mop or cleaning solution to achieve better results.

No, I prefer to handle all cleaning tasks myself.
Yes, I have a trusted team that I sometimes call upon, depending on the size and scope of the job.
Yes, a friend, family member, or partner often helps me with cleaning tasks.
Yes, I have a regular staff who handle most cleaning tasks, and I supervise to ensure quality.
Say you clean a property and the guest checks in on the same day, and they're unhappy with the cleaning. Your property manager asks you to go back to the property to reclean some areas. Is this something you'd be willing to do, especially for your first few cleanings? What if this happened at least a few times every single month?
*
I would go back immediately for the first few times, but if it continues to happen, I'd consider it a management issue and may reconsider my position.
I would go back to fix the issue, as maintaining customer satisfaction is a priority for me, regardless of how often it happens.
I would be willing to go back once or twice, but frequent re-cleaning would lead me to renegotiate my contract terms or rate.
I would find it inconvenient but would do it for the first month; however, consistent issues would mean this job is not a good fit for me.
I would decline to go back, as my role is to clean once based on the given guidelines, and any issues should be handled by the property manager.
Sometimes, guests check out late. Would you be willing to knock on the front door and inform guests who check out late that they must vacate within 10 minutes or you'll need to call the police? (Afterwards, if the guests are not packing up and leaving within 30 minutes, you must call the police and wait for their arrival. You will get paid $50 extra for this service.)
*
Yes, I'm comfortable with this responsibility and consider it part of maintaining a smooth operation.
No, I don't feel it's within my scope of duties as a cleaner to enforce check-out times or call the police.
I would be willing to do it on rare occasions, but I would prefer not to make it a regular part of my job.
I would do it, but only if the extra $50 fee is increased to compensate for the stress and additional time involved.
I'd prefer to notify the property manager and have them handle this situation, even if it means losing out on the extra fee.
Would you be willing to sign a contract and pass a $40 background check?
*
Yes
No

*
Immediately, I can start as soon as today or tomorrow.
Within the next week, after I've reorganized my schedule.
In two weeks, as I currently have other commitments.
I would need at least a month to prepare and make arrangements.
