Taming Triggers is an outdoor class designed to increase your dog’s coping skills. Two instructors coach four pairs of dogs and dog parents through simple skills that build resiliency around emotional triggers, such as the sight of unknown dogs.
Classes will meet for total of six weeks, the first and last online. In-person classes will meet in the parking lot of the National Arboretum, 3501 New York Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002.
Cost is $650 per client/dog pair.
Class size is limited, in order to provide personal attention for you and your dog.
No make-up classes are offered, and refunds cannot be given. Please enroll only if you can commit to class. Your spot in class will be reserved once payment is received.
As much as we urge each family member to train with your dog, we ask that only one adult member of the family accompany your dog to class.
We need current vaccination records in hand before the start of the first class. Please email that documentation to doglatinbeth@gmail.com.
Safety is top priority for this class. During the first, online class session, we will discuss proper equipment and safety procedures for the in-person classes.
No prong collars, choke chains, or retractable leashes are allowed.
