Register for Mulch Giving, the City of Ventura's Mulch & Compost Giveaway Event!

    Saturday, November 23, 2024

    10:00am - 11:30am

City of Ventura residents are invited to sign-up for our next mulch and compost giveaway. Registered participants are invited to pickup free mulch and compost products. Mulch and compost products are sourced from Agromin and purchased by the City of Ventura to giveaway to residents free of charge.

Both mulch and compost are great additions to a home garden or residential landscape. Compost is a nutrient rich soil amendment, which helps improve soil health and supports plant growth. Mulch is used on the top layer of the soil to control weeds, retain moisture, regulate temperature, and make the garden bed look more attractive.

Participants will be expected to bag their own mulch and compost products and bring their own bag or container to collect their material. Limited shovels and gloves will be provided.

    Location:

This outdoor event takes place at Ventura Avenue Adult Center at 550 N Ventura Ave. Turn right on E. Center St. then left into parking lot.

Event parking is limited. Please follow directions on where to park from event staff.
