SHELTER TOUR/ SCHOOL PRESENTATION REQUEST FORM
Thank you for your interest in the Prince George Humane Society Outreach programs! We take pride in our mission to educate and foster care and compassion for all living beings. We genuinely enjoy having visitors, and we're thrilled that you'll be joining us for a shelter tour. Our shelter tours typically have a fee of $5 per child. However, we understand that there may be situations where the fee cannot be paid. In such cases, please know that all kids, regardless of their circumstances, are welcome to experience our tours. For class visits, there is no charge, but we greatly appreciate any donations you may wish to contribute. Your support goes a long way in helping us continue our mission and provide for the animals in our care. Thank you for your understanding and commitment to our cause.

About a Shelter Tour:
A shelter tour at an animal shelter, lasting an hour and a half maximum, typically includes a brief welcome and introduction to the shelter's mission and the importance of animal welfare. Participants are guided through the shelter's facilities, including kennels, adoption areas, medical rooms, and a humane education space. They have the chance to meet some of the shelter's animals, interact with them under supervision, and ask questions about animal care, shelter operations, and the significance of adoption and responsible pet ownership. If the tour extends beyond 30 minutes, an engaging and educational activity may be included. The visit concludes with a thank-you session to appreciate the shelter staff and volunteers and emphasize the importance of supporting shelters through adoption, volunteering, and donations. Adult supervision is essential to ensure safety and the animals' well-being, making this experience a means to raise awareness about animal welfare, promote responsible pet ownership, and nurture compassion for animals in need.
School Presentations
A typical school presentation, ranging from 30 to 45 minutes. We begin with a warm welcome and a brief introduction to our organization's mission and the importance of animal welfare. During the presentation, we bring along a shelter animal as a special guest to help illustrate our message. Students get to meet and interact with this furry friend under the guidance of our team. We encourage students to ask questions about animal care, our organization's work, and the significance of adopting animals from shelters. If time permits, we may incorporate an engaging and educational activity to enhance the learning experience. Towards the end of the presentation, we express our gratitude to the school staff, students, and the shelter animal for their participation. We stress the importance of supporting animal shelters through adoption, volunteering, and donations, highlighting how these actions make a real difference in the lives of animals in need.
