    Applying

    • Search for and secure an internship. If you need assistance, meet with a staff member or peer career advisor in the Greene Center. The opportunity must be secured before applying for funding, and you will need to upload a copy of your internship offer letter or confirmation as part of your application.
    • Application Deadline – April 6, 2026. Please submit your application for consideration by April 6th. There is no benefit to submitting your application early, so please take your time to craft a strong application and put yourself in the best position to receive funding.
    • WARNING: You are encouraged to fill in and complete your application in one sitting. You will receive a confirmation email after you submit, with a link to return to your application if needed. If you have the tab open for multiple days, your application may not register when you submit it, as the application may log you out.

  • I, the above-named student of the University of Rochester (the “University”), have decided to engage in the Experience described in this application for the purpose of furthering my education. The University, in order to facilitate and encourage its students to seek out internships and other similar opportunities for their educational value, has made funds available to students like me to help offset the associated costs of travel, lodging, and other expenses. In consideration of receiving such funds, I hereby agree to the following:

    1. I am not required by the University to participate in the Experience, and my choice to do so is purely voluntary. I have chosen to pursue the Experience for my own educational purposes, with full knowledge and assumption of all associated risks.
    2. I acknowledge that:
      1. The University has had no role in arranging the Experience, negotiating its terms and conditions, or arranging related travel and lodging. I have made all such arrangements, alone or with the help of third parties unaffiliated with the University.
      2. The University has not conducted any investigation into the Experience, with respect to its safety, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, particular educational value, or any other matter.
      3. The University will not manage the Experience, will have no contact with nor be responsible for the acts of any person involved with it;
      4. The University has made no inquiry into my health or fitness for the Experience;
      5. The University has not made any determination whether any travel that I engage in going to or from the Experience, or locally while there, will be safe;
      6. I am solely responsible for making my own travel, lodging, meals, entertainment, and other arrangements related to the Experience;
      7. I am responsible for my own safety during, before, and after the Experience;
      8. If for any reason, whether due to sickness (including but not limited to COVID-19), injury, death, political unrest, natural or man-made disaster, or for reasons similar to any of the foregoing, I require health care, evacuation, or repatriation of remains, the University’s staff, contractors, insurers, and others who regularly assist University students and staff in such situations will not be available to assist me any manner, whether financially or otherwise; and
      9. I will be solely responsible for obtaining whatever health, travel, or other insurance I may decide.
    3. I understand that participating in the Experience, including travel, carries with it certain risks, including but not limited to damage or loss to my property, and personal injury, illness, and death, any of which may be caused by disease, intentional or negligent acts of others, acts of God, political unrest or terrorism, transportation accident and/or my own negligence, among other causes.
    4. In recognition and consideration of the foregoing, I hereby release and hold harmless the University, its employees, and its Trustees, from any and all liability, loss, claim, or expense (“liabilities”) that I may incur as the result of engaging in the Experience, including travel, and agree that I am solely responsible for any such liabilities.
