Outdoor Enthusiast Nomination Form
Instructions:
As the nominator, please complete the nomination form and submit it by February 15th of each year. This award requires two letters of endorsement. As the nominator, you may not also endorse the nominee.
Criteria:
This award recognizes volunteers who make outdoor experiences in Girl Scouts possible and provide creative, recreational, and educational outdoor opportunities for girls. This service is beyond the troop experience where the service makes the outdoor experience available to a wide number of girls. Examples include: conducting service unit encampments, outdoor event for troops, training adults in Troop Camp Training, etc. The nominee is an active, registered adult in Girl Scouts. The nominee has successfully completed all requirements for their position. The nominee has performed beyond expectations for the position to deliver outdoor programming/experience for girl or adult training that supports the council's goals for this program pillar. Uses the GSLE and the National Program Portfolio for program and/or training delivery. Uses Safety Activity Checkpoints when planning program and/or training.
