Like The New School itself, City Visionary Award honorees strive to make NYC more equitable, sustainable, and joyful through high-impact work that drives bold progress and innovation.
Each year, The New School will honor 2 - 3 individuals who exemplify the values of the New School's mission and vision to prepare students to understand, contribute to, and succeed in a rapidly changing society, thus making the world a better and more just place. Award recipients will be individuals outside of the student body who are leaders in the community - alumni, civic leaders, artists, and advocates who believe in our university vision and will help inspire philanthropic investments in universitywide scholarships. Honorees will be celebrated at a dinner/fundraiser at the Manhattan Penthouse near The New School campus this fall. Honoree expectations.
Nominations will be accepted by New School alumni, faculty, staff, and students through June 30, 2025 and are good for three consecutive years. Nomination forms will be reviewed by members of the Alumni Council and staff from the Office of Alumni Engagement. Two honorees will be chosen by the Office of Alumni Engagement while the remaining nominee will be decided by the Alumni Council.
Thank you in advance for your thoughtful nominations.
