Would you like to add your voice to LIFT by submitting a breakout presentation for our upcoming 2024 LIFT Conferences?
This form is for LIFT in Sharpsburg, GA. If you prefer to apply for a presentation in a different location, please visit www.forthechildren.org/lift2024 and select the appropriate link.
Whether you're a camp director, mentoring director, leadership team member or seasoned Royal Family KIDS program volunteer, you're invited to apply to share your talents and expertise at LIFT this year.
To submit a breakout proposal for LIFT 2024, please review the information below.
Choose one of the following topics:
1. Funding the Dream
Share best practices you have found to raise donations.
2. Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
Your team can make or break the camp or mentoring experience. Share ideas you've found for fostering teamwork among volunteers before, during, and after the program.
3. Trauma-Informed Care
Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) can help avoid problems and improve experiences for children. Share the specific techniques you've found useful for volunteers to use in camp and mentoring.
4. How to Train Your Volunteers
Keep training fresh with new ideas. Share your best practices and ways to prepare to serve.
5. Bonus Topics
Do you have another idea for a breakout session? Apply to share any other topic within your specialty of knowledge, experience, or expertise.

WHO CAN PRESENT?
We are looking for experienced voices. You don't have to be in chapter leadership to apply. All are welcome to submit.
HOW ARE SUBMISSIONS EVALUATED?
Successful submissions will:
- Support FTC’s values, principles and policies
- Focus on successful practices and experience-based takeaways
- Focus on the HOW, not only the WHY
- Use interactive elements whenever possible
- Target a specific audience and problem or issue (avoid being too broad)
Evaluation Considerations:
- Biblical basis
- Relevant and practical topic for audience
- Learning objectives
- Presenter credentials and expertise
- Overall needs of this year’s LIFT
We hope you will submit an idea for a breakout session! We will accept one submission per topic in each region.
ABOUT BREAKOUT SESSIONS:
Breakout sessions at LIFT are...
- Instructional, including interaction as much as possible
- Lmited to 1-2 presenters (or a 3-person conversation format)
- Generally a 60-minute session, with plenty of time included for Q & A
- In most cases, applicable to both camp and mentoring
Selected breakout speakers will receive complimentary admission to LIFT (up to two presenters per breakout). Speakers are responsible for their travel, accommodations and any other expenses.
