    In this workshop you will learn step-by-step how to:

    • cover a cake with marzipan and sugarpaste to get a smooth finish.
    • make a simple sugarpaste model or Christmas topper decoration.
    • create simple side decorations and details.

    Fully inclusive - 4 hours tuition and EVERYTHING you need to enable you to take away a beautifully decorated Christmas cake.

      ALLERGIES

      Allergies cannot be catered for. Fruit cakes & marzipan will contain nuts.

      CLASS NOTES:

      Each booking is for one person only. Please note that we cannot accommodate anyone under the age of 16 without a parent/guardian. 

      Workshop Content is subject to variations and may differ from the images shown. Classes may run over the times stated. A minimum of 3 people are required for a class to go ahead. If a class is not filled with the minimum we may postpone the class.

      The Class Schedule will be emailed to you when full payment has been received.

      Refreshments (tea, coffee, water & light snacks)

      Full-day workshop (and classes which run over lunchtime) ~ Light refreshments are provided on arrival & throughout the day. You will need to bring a packed lunch with you. 

      Half-day and Evening classes ~ Refreshments are provided on arrival.

      Hygiene & Safety

      Please bring an apron as this helps to protect your clothes. Long hair should be securely tied back. Please also ensure that jewellery is kept to a minimum, i.e. just a plain wedding band and no stones/gems. Hand-washing facilities are provided before the start of each class and available throughout as required.

      Materials and tools will be provided on some workshops, where they are not provided a list of equipment will be sent to you prior to the date.

      Personal Property & Safety 

      Whilst all reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of students and their property during a class the classes are run from a private residential property (my home), and the expectation is that all students will remain responsible at all times for their own property and safety, and that full respect and consideration will be given to all when entering / leaving the property and during class time.

      Class Material & Equipment / Intellectual Property rights

      All class material & equipment used on-site during class remain the sole property of the class and any written learning material provided and used during class or taken off-site remains the intellectual property of Dianne Stanley (DCD & CIBTB). No permission is given for reproduction of class material or teaching in part or in full.

      A minimum of 3 people are required for a class to go ahead. If a class is not filled with the minimum we may postpone the class.

      Whilst the dates and times for the courses are correct at the time of advertising, Dream Cake Designs by Dianne Stanley reserves the right to make alterations to the dates and times of courses, classes and workshops. In such instances, students will be notified of the changes and an alternative date and / or class offered. If the alternative date / time or class is not suitable, a full refund will be offered.

      Bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Places are not reserved and confirmed until cleared payment of the BOOKING FEE or the FULL course fee has been received.

      The full course fee is payable at the time of booking, or at least 14 full days prior to the start date (unless stated otherwise) Booking instalment payments may be available for some classes – (see course schedule for information).

      Students may change or cancel a booked course no later than 28 days before the start date of the class. In the case of cancellation by the student (within the timescales set for the class), the fee paid will be refunded less an administration and rebooking charge of £25.00.

      In the event of a change or cancellation made between 28 days and 14 days before the start date of the class, a refund of 25% of the course fee will be made. If a cancellation is made within 14 days of the start of the course the full fee paid will be non-refundable. A student may transfer his/her place on the course to another person up to 7 days before the start of the course.

      In the event of a late cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness) the workshop fee can be transferred to the same or an alternative workshop at a later date – to be taken within 12 months of the initial date. There will be no refund, exchange, or transfer in any circumstances except the force majeure.
