Payment Options
We accept Visa and MasterCard. E-Transfer is provided upon request. Personal cheques will not be accepted.
Attending Programs
Drop-off & Pick Up
You may drop the participant(s) off at the designated location 20 minutes before the program starts, and pickup is not later than up to 20 minutes after or an extra charge may occur. If you are late and the participant stays for the next class if available, a class pass will be charged.
While there is supervision during these times, there are no structured activities. Parents or guardians are asked to sign the participant(s) in and out each day. Written notification must be provided if someone else is picking up the participant(s). Proof of identification will be required.
Absenteeism
If the participant is unable to attend the course/camp, please inform us as soon as possible by calling 204-770 4864.
Lunch and snacks
If lunch is not included then, all participants must bring a lunch and snacks if required. Please note that the participant may not have access to a microwave. Due to the increasing number of life-threatening allergies to nuts and peanut butter, we kindly ask that you respect our no-peanut policy. An age-appropriate movie will be shown during lunch if required.
Lost and Found
Remember to take the participant(s) belongings with you. We do not have access to the facility after the daily class/camp. Powered by Jessica and In Good Company is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
Behavior Expectations
We expect all participants to be respectful to others at all times. You will be notified immediately of any disciplinary problems with the participant(s) that cannot be rectified and/or that threatens the safety of others. Continuous disruptions may result in withdrawal from the course/camp with no refund. Parents and caregivers are also expected to behave in a respectful manner.
Special Activities & Participation
Participants may have opportunities to join in on special activities. Parents and care givers will be informed about any requirements and special permissions may be needed.
Special Assistance
All participants may attend and fully participate regardless of ability. If the participant requires special assistance to participate in course/camp activities, you must provide an attendant (at your expense.)
Course/Camp FAQs
1. What should the participant wear?
Courses: requires performance attire. Include shirt, trousers, dress, shirt and jacket if required. Our dress code policy requests that attendees refrain from wearing denim or athletic wear.
Please send an extra set of clothes in case it is needed.
2. What if I can’t pick him/her up? Parents must notify us by telephone and text at 204 770 4864 they will be late or if they will be sending someone else to drop off or pick up the participant(s). We are very careful about the participant(s) health and safety. ID will be required.
3. Do you split them up into groups by age? Some of the activities require groups but we try to keep mixed gender and age groups as part of our lessons are about communicating with people who are different.
4. What do they need to bring? Unless otherwise specified participants should bring along lunch, including beverages and snacks. We provide all craft and activity materials, workbooks, pencils etc. (Please do not send any food items with peanuts or peanut butter)
We will advise parents before camp if there are any other participants with severe allergies or items we need to avoid.
5. Can parents come? We find participants interact with each other and with us much differently and sometimes learn more when parents are not present. Parents may telephone the participant if necessary or check in on them at lunch daily). We invite and encourage all parents to come to the Graduation Party/Ceremony on the last day of the camps
6. What will the participants be doing? There are a variety of activities, crafts, outdoor games, swimming, semi-formal lessons, practice scenarios, music etc.
7. Who is supervising? Jessica LoRusso or Certified Courtesy Coach will be in attendance as well as a helper or two if there are more than 12 children.
8. What if there is an emergency and the participant can’t come? If we are made aware of the situation in writing at least two full weeks in advance, we will refund 80% of the fee. If something happens, i.e. Sickness (medical note required) and the participant cannot attend but we are notified before the course/camp begins, we will refund 50% of the fee and a credit for future classes will be given.
9. Will there be boys and girls? Yes, camp/courses are for both boys and girls, and everyone has a lot of fun! Some days, the activities are geared towards young ladies (nail painting etc.), and so the boys will be given other activities if they wish. No one will be excluded from what is considered traditional gender-specific activity. Alternate activities are provided to ensure that everyone is interested in participating.
