The Journal of Public and International Affairs (JPIA) seeks pieces that are outstanding in their research quality and include specific policy recommendations. Submissions should take the form of a longer policy paper, usually around 6,000 words and written in an academic journal style. All submissions should use Chicago Manual of Style citations. Please reference our FAQs for further details.
We encourage submissions from students of diverse and traditionally underrepresented backgrounds in policy scholarship, or that engage with issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. To ensure fairness and objectivity, we use a blind submission review process in which editors selecting articles for publication cannot see the author's name, school, or demographic information.
