AUTHORIZED AGENT AGREEMENT
This Agreement is made on {date}, by and between {name}, hereinafter referred to as the "Principal," and Eviction Blocker Tenant Mediation Services, hereinafter referred to as the "Agent."
Definition of Authorized Agent:
The Agent is designated as an Authorized Agent of the Principal, per the terms set forth herein and in accordance with Rule 500.4 of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
Scope of Authority:
Agent's authority includes:
Communication: Act as the main contact with the landlord or their representative. Respond to notices and engage in discussions or mediations.
Review of Documents: Examine lease agreements and ensure notices comply with regulations.
Legal Paperwork Assistance: Assist the tenant in understanding, completing,and filing relevant legal documents.
Legal Guidance: Research eviction laws and provide guidance on legal procedures.
Representation in Mediation: Assist or represent the tenant in mediation sessions or settlement talks
Limitations on Authority:
Agent shall not exceed given authority.
Delegation of Authority:
No transfer of powers without Principal's consent. Agent can hire clerks/assistants but remains responsible for their actions.
Apparent Authority:
The Principal may be held liable for actions based on apparent authority of the Agent.
Governing Law and Rule 500.4 Reference:
Governed by Texas laws and Rule 500.4, Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
Termination:
Termination upon 10 days notice or breach of contract.
Indemnification:
Agent indemnifies Principal from wrongful actions.
Entire Agreement:
This document is the entire agreement.
Amendments:
Must be in writing and signed.
Severability:
Invalid clauses don't invalidate entire agreement.
