HORSECUBE Questionnaire

Thanks for playing this game with me! In this online survey version of HORSECUBE, you play the role of the Dreamer, and I play the role of Interpreter. But before we start, I just need a little more information from you.

I want to know who I'm playing with! Please tell me your name & pronouns. It doesn't have to be your legal name, just whatever name you want me to know you by. I also need your email so I can send you my interpretations of your answers.

Tell me its size, material, texture, color...and also tell me, where is it in the room? Past cube examples have been a large white marble cube taking up the entire room, a wooden chest with a lock in a dusty corner, and a spinning disco ball rubix cube floating above the floor- so your cube can be whatever you think your cube is.

What does it look like? You don't need to know horse breeds, just physical features like the condition and color of its coat, the length and tidiness of its mane and tail, if it has a saddle or bows or bridle or blanket or any other such accessories, its age and stature. What's its personality? Describe its demeanor, or what it's doing. For example, is it wild, or tame? Sleeping, or prancing? Sweaty and tired, curious and content, or fearful and agitated? Where is the horse in relation to the cube?

How many flowers are there? What color or varietal are they? Are they dried, dying, or thriving? Are they scattered, in a vase or bouquet, or growing in a pot? Are they on the windowsill, or perhaps hanging from the ceiling? Where are the flowers in relation to the cube & horse? Tell me everything.

Is it on the floor, or leaning against something? Does it look stable, or flimsy? What's it made of, and how tall is it? What's at the top of it, or what is it going to be used for? Where is the ladder in relation to other objects in the room?

I want to know what you see through it, but I also want to know about the window itself. Are you looking out at a scene, or are the curtains drawn? Is the glass broken or boarded up, or freshly windexed? Maybe it's stained glass. Maybe its an old stone window with no glass at all. Now, what do you see from the window? (For example: nature, or a city? Sunshine, or smog? Birds, or rain? A spider building a web from the inside?)

This is your final question. How did you know this storm was coming? (Use cues from the room to answer this, ie, something you saw in the window, or a change in the horse's behavior, or maybe the ladder trembled and fell over?) What kind of storm is it? (there's hurricanes, there's dust storms, there's thunderstorms, etc) And finally- how do you feel about the storm- excited? Afraid? Indifferent? Sad? Relieved?
