  • Format: (000) 000-0000.
  • Requirements for Taking the AMCA Exam:

    Test Location Restrictions:

    • The exam must be taken in a suitable, well-lit room.
    • The room must enable the tester to sit with their back to the door.
    • No testing is allowed in locations such as:
      • Floors
      • Beds
      • Sofas
      • Outdoors
      • Automobiles
      • Public areas
      • Bathrooms
      • Rooms with clear glass walls.
    • No one is permitted to be in the room or enter it during the exam.

    Work Surface Requirements:

    • Students must have a suitable work surface, which includes:
      • Desk or Table.
      • Chair.
    • The following work surfaces are not accepted:
      • Lap desks
      • Folding trays
      • Standing desks

    Work Area Restrictions:

    • The following items or activities are prohibited during the exam:
    • Headphones or earphones
    • Secondary monitors
    • Food
    • Beverages
    • Papers
    • Books
    • Pens/pencils
    • Electronics other than the testing computer and personal cell phone
    • Sunglasses
    • Watches
    • Non-religious head coverings
    • Breaks or interruptions, including bathroom breaks

    Device Restrictions:

    • The following devices are not allowed for the exam:
      • Chromebooks
      • iPads
      • Other tablets

    Equipment Requirements:

    • Students must have the following equipment:
      • Functioning microphone
      • Functioning webcam (internal or external)
      • Reliable internet that is not a "hot spot"
    • Students must have storage available on their computer to download the
      guardian browser and the proctor platform.

    School-Initiated Requirements:

    • LRP (Live Remote Proctor) Appointment:
      • A Live Remote Proctor (LRP) appointment must be scheduled within two
        weeks of the chosen exam date.
    • Internet Speed Test:
      • An internet speed test on AMCA's website must be performed.
      • The result of the speed test must be submitted to
        Chelsea@medcertify.com within 2 days of the chosen exam date. (A
        screenshot will suffice.)
    • Guardian Browser Installation:
      • The Guardian browser must be downloaded.
      • Proof of the Guardian browser installation must be sent to
        Chelsea@medcertify.com within 2 days of the chosen exam date. (A
        screenshot will suffice.)

    Noncompliance and Consequences:
    If a student does not meet the minimum requirements as listed in this document, they will not be allowed to sit for the exam. In such cases:

    • The proctor will terminate the student's exam session.
    • The student will be required to reschedule for a different exam date.
    • The student may incur fees of $60 or more to attempt a second test date.

    It is important to note that MedCertify is not responsible for any fees incurred due to the failure to meet the requirements outlined in this document. These requirements and consequences are provided directly from ProctorU and AMCA.
