In addition to the Baja Kayak Fest (April 14-20, 2024), I might/would like to participate in the following:

British Canoeing Personal Performance Award assessments. "Sea Kayak" and "Coastal Sea Kayak" assessments are possible. Visit www.britishcanoeing.org.uk for details. (No additional cost)British Canoeing Sea Leader Assessment (Dates TBD). Advance registration with British Canoeing is required. Visit www.britishcanoeing.org.uk for details. (Additional cost - TBD)Day trip to the islands. Due to some regulatory changes, we are unable to stay overnight on the islands. Instead, interested groups will take a power boat ride (along with their kayaks) to the islands in the morning. There will be ample time to explore the islands and paddle back to base. This will be about an hour ride out and a 12 mile paddle with a 3 mile open crossing. Additional cost of $40 for the power boat ride (assuming at least 5 per boat)

We are traveling in a foreign country where medical care may be slower and of lesser quality than at home. We strongly recommend purchasing a travel insurance policy such as those found at www.WorldNomads.com. "I have an insurance policy that will cover me for injuries/illnesses sustained."*

Using the "Participant Guidance" in the "Classes" section of the website, please rate your general skill/experience level (note that this is not a suitable event for beginners). All participants must have recent sea kayaking or class 3 whitewater experience, and basic competence in a variety of maneuvering and rescue techniques.

Space is limited at this event! A $200 non-refundable deposit will hold your place. The balance is due by March 1, 2025. Cancellations prior to March 1, 2025 will get a full refund (minus the $200 deposit). No refunds will be provided for cancellations after March 1, 2025, for any reason - even those beyond your control (Unless the event is fully subscribed and we are able to fill your spot!).
