Waiver of Rights / Parental Consent:
In consideration of Vedanta Cultural Foundation (“VCF”), an Indian non-profit charitable institution registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950 permitting me/ my ward to reside at the Vedanta Academy and participate in and benefit from the programs/activities conducted therein and elsewhere in India, I hereby
(a) waive in favour of VCF, its trustees, employees, agents, students and/or volunteers (collectively the “VCF Representatives”) my / my ward’s rights against them and
(b) agree not to institute any suit/proceedings against them, in connection with:
1.1 My/ my ward’s travel to, stay at and participation in all activities at the Vedanta Academy and all outings connected with or arranged by VCF and/or any of the VCF Representatives; and
1.2 all treatment, assistance, whether medical or otherwise that I / my ward may receive by or at the instance of VCF and/or any of the VCF Representatives; and
1.3 all hospitality including the consumption of any food and/or beverages offered by or on behalf of VCF and/or any of the VCF Representatives.
In addition to the foregoing, I hereby authorize VCF to take photographs and videos of me / my ward and to publish and use them for its promotional materials and public relations activities and confirm that I shall not be entitled to any compensation for doing so;
This waiver form comprises the whole and only agreement relating to the subject matter contained herein and has been provided irrevocably and for good and valuable consideration received by me, as set out above.
This waiver form has been drawn and shall be interpreted and governed in accordance with the provisions of the laws of India which are in effect from time to time.
I have read, understood and accepted the terms of this waiver form and I voluntarily accept the terms and conditions stated above as a condition of my / my ward’s stay at the Vedanta Academy, whether continuously or from time to time as may be applicable, and participation in all the said programs/activities during such stay.
