Open Contest for EIP Operational Groups, other EU and national funded projects
Thank you for participating in this CLIMED-FRUIT Project Open Contest. As part of the project, we are launching the Open Contest for selecting knowledge-ready for-practice issued from EU and national funded projects. The goal of Climed-Fruit is to give further European-wide dissemination of these solutions, useful to help Mediterranean farmers face their main challenges.
CLIMED-FRUIT is a European Horizon Project mainly focused on five sub-topics representative of farmer group needs and providing existing solutions, ready to put into practice:
- soil conservation and carbon storage,
- improving the resilience of crops facing climatic hazards (i.e. frost, hail),
- innovative practices for water stress management and dry farming,
- adaptation of food chain processes to climate change and diversification,
- preserving biodiversity in Mediterranean crops for better resilience to climate change issues.
WHO MAY PARTICIPATE?
We are inviting participants from all EIP Operational Groups, EU funded projects (H2020, HE, LIFE, INTERREG, EFRD, EAFRD etc.), or national/regional initiatives, whose work related to innovative solutions for adaptation to climate change of perennial crops in the Mediterranean area, to participate in the Open Contest by proposing their abstracts.
WHY PARTICIPATE?
- Gain international visibility to the results obtained in your projects, by prsenting your solution in an international on-line conference in 2024, and through the CLIMED FRUIT project and partners websites;
- Receive financial support for the production of additional dissemination material; the 12 winners of the contest will receive the equivalent of € 5,000 for the production of material suitable for large dissemination (an Extended Practice Abstract, and a Digital Story).
