During this application, you will be asked to upload supporting information (Essay and Recommendation). Please have all of your supporting information available, as this form cannot be saved and must be completed in full. If you cannot upload the supporting information digitally, please email communications@ms.usta.com for assistance. If you cannot fill this out digitally, there are options for sending the application via mail.

Applicants receiving full-grant and aid scholarships for the sport of tennis from their respective schools or other sources are not eligible for a PATD scholarship.

Applicants must have participated in United States Tennis Association (USTA) and other organized youth tennis programs.

All applications and submitted materials become the property of PATD and will not be returned.

Recipients will be notified of acceptance, in writing, and will be required to return an official acceptance form with information regarding the college he or she will be attending, including a headshot photo (no photocopy) to be used for publicity.

Recipients of this PATD scholarship are expected to enroll as a full-time, undergraduate student, as defined by the institution the student will attend, no later than the opening fall semester or term after being selected for the scholarship.

Recipients of this PATD scholarship will be expected to participate on the tennis team, intramural program or any other college tennis program during the freshman year. Twenty hours of tennis-related community service will also be accepted.

The following circumstances require a written request sent to communications@ms.usta.com. Each written request will be reviewed and a determination made on a case-by-case basis:
a. Deferment: If an award recipient is unable to enroll in the Fall of 2026, for any reason, a written request for deferment must be made to USTA MS PATD (communications@ms.usta.com). Failure to obtain approval to change or delay the use of the scholarship will lead to forfeiture of his/her right to the scholarship.
b. Transfer: Should a scholarship recipient transfer to another college or university, a written request must be made. A transcript confirming that he or she is in good academic standing must also be included.
