About Nguyen Vo: Nguyen Vo's family immigrated to Minnesota from Vietnam in 1975 and grew up in the Frogtown neighborhood of Saint Paul. In an effort to keep their children from negative influences, Nguyen's parents kept their children engaged in sports and more sports. When they were little, Nguyen and his siblings hit tennis against the garage door and in the driveway with donated racquets and tennis balls found in a nearby park. When he turned five, he started playing tennis on public courts near his home; and with the generosity and support of his coaches and tennis community, he went on to become top 10 player in the section. Nguyen's parents were very proud of their son's accomplishments on court and they also stressed the importance of a good education. Fueled by the support of his parents and the tennis community, Nguyen is very proud to now give back to and support youth both on and off the court.
Nguyen is currently a Head Tennis Professional at Fred Wells Tennis & Education Center. He and his wife, Emi, live in St. Paul.
