Training of Trainers for Journalists: Application form

This training is organised by Free Press Unlimited as part of the European Excellence Exchange in Journalism programme (E3J). Participants will gain the ability to conduct engaging training events on any subject, understand theories of adult learning and apply them to create dynamic learning experiences.
About the training

The course is open for mid-career, experienced journalists from our E3J network, from aspiring investigative journalists to experienced editors, social media managers, or journalists who specialise in other collaborative journalism fields. The course and coaching trajectory will mix both online and offline sessions, plenary and 1-1 sessions and will take place between 1 December 2023 and 29 February 2024.

Throughout the training, you will test your learnings by designing and leading a session at a journalism event in Amsterdam, and by outlining a personal development plan based on your interests that you can take back into your day-to-day work.

The deadline for applications is 27 November 2023, 23:59 CEST, and confirmations of selection will be sent on 29 November.

This is a free training programme. We expect you to commit fully and attend an online kick-off session on 8 December, two days of offline training on 17&18 January in Prague, and a two-day offline event on 13&14 February in The Hague.
