Rowing SA Affiliation Form

2025-2026
Any rowing club or school wishing to become affiliated with Rowing South Australia (Rowing SA) shall submit this application form no later than 30th September 2025.

By completing this Affiliation Application Form with Rowing SA, the Club/School agrees to be bound by Rowing SA's Rules, By-Laws, Regulations for Boat Racing and all other Rowing SA policies.

All Rowing SA policies are available via www.rowingsa.asn.au.

All clubs and schools will be required to ensure they satisfy the below requirements. The relevant Affiliation Fee will be described in your club's invoice, as per the fees set by the Rowing SA Board for the 2025 - 2026 season.

Consumer and Business Services (CBS) oversees the regulation of incorporated associations in South Australia.

Incorporated associations must meet specific legal and financial obligations. It is the responsibility of the committee members and the public officer to ensure the association remains compliant with all regulatory requirements.

Non-compliance may result in penalties, legal action, or the potential dissolution of the association.

Our schools insurance policy will be used to cover our members for liability insurance. We opt out of the Rowing SA insurance.*

By completing this Application Form, the school/club is applying to become affiliated with Rowing SA Inc.

The school/club is agreeing to abide by the Rowing SA Rules, By-Laws and Regulations for Boat Racing and all other Rowing SA policies

Club's must have completed the affiliation by no later than 31st July 2025.

Schools must have completed the affiliation by no later than 30th September 2025.
We acknowledge and agree to:*

All people volunteering at the club, who hold an official role at the club, have a current and not prohibited WWCC check.Members have been instructed in the actions to be taken in the event of a capsize. If any member is unable to meet this requirement for any reason additional flotation aids, either on the person or within easy reach in the boat, or modifications to the equipment must be adopted in conjunction with additional supervision and rescue plans, otherwise the athlete cannot be permitted on the water.Members are capable of releasing themselves from the boat. If any member is unable to meet this requirement for any reason additional flotation aids, either on the person or within easy reach in the boat, or modifications to the equipment must be adopted in conjunction with additional supervision and rescue plans, otherwise the athlete cannot be permitted on the water.Members are able to swim 50m in light clothing (e.g. rowing kit) and be sufficiently at ease in the water not to panic. If any member is unable to meet this requirement for any reason additional flotation aids, either on the person or within easy reach in the boat, or modifications to the equipment must be adopted in conjunction with additional supervision and rescue plans, otherwise the athlete cannot be permitted on the water.Members are able to tread water for a minimum of 3 minutes. If any member is unable to meet this requirement for any reason additional flotation aids, either on the person or within easy reach in the boat, or modifications to the equipment must be adopted in conjunction with additional supervision and rescue plans, otherwise the athlete cannot be permitted on the water.We have read and understand the Rowing SA policies as published and amended from time to time.We will correctly provide the officer details as requested in Rowing Manager.We will keep these positions updated with the correct name, email and mobile phone number.We acknowledge that all Rowing SA contact distribution lists and communications will be created from the committee positions uploaded into Rowing Manager.

That our students’ participation in Rowing SA Activities is subject to the terms and conditions set out in Rowing SA's policies and procedures.We agree to communicate and update Rowing SA policies and procedures where applicable to each student’s parent(s) or guardian(s).We acknowledge and agree to maintain a record of this communication being provided to each student’s parent(s) or guardian(s).We acknowledge and agree to notify Rowing SA in the event the affiliated school becomes aware a student or their parent(s) or guardian(s) do not accept any terms and conditions in RSA’s policies and procedures.
