Deadline for receipt of this electronic application, copy of an official transcript, and a list of references (include below) is due February 8, 2013.

In addition to this application form, include the following materials:

1) A personal statement of 1-2 pages briefly describing your educational background and goals. Include any laboratory or research experience, and your experiece with computers, programming, electronics, etc. Your personal statement can be attached to this online application.

2) Two letters of recommendation (can be sent to us directly by the referring parties via email, fax, or US mail)

3) Official transcripts (can be sent to us directly from your school)

Please send all materials as early in 2012 as possible, as applications will be screened as they are received. This application form can be submitted electronically. Paper-based applications can be mailed/faxed/emailed to:

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Please attach an essay in which you describe how your training, education, and desire to participate in the research experience for undergraduates (REU) summer internship program will help you work toward your academic and/or career goals. You may also include a statement on how overcoming significant educational, social, or economic disadvantage or adversity would enable you to contribute to the program. Your essay should not exceed 2 double-spaced pages in length.
