Remy's Reign obtained this animal as a rescue and particulars of the individual’s age, breed, medical history, potential size, prior training, etc., may be unknown and untraceable. Therefore, we cannot make any guarantees of any kind. We believe, that through professional evaluations and thorough examinations and diagnostics, that your new pet is in good health. Your new pet appears to be the breed listed and, based on our experience with your new pet, has the temperament and personality suitable for a family pet and companion of training and proper handling are provided by the adopter. The adopter can always contact us with questions regarding the animal’s health and behavior. All canine and feline adoptions are to be indoor pets only. Participation in a novice obedience class is strongly recommended with any new dog or puppy. Without training and proper handling, even the best animal can become a nuisance. Animals that do not receive adequate attention exercise can become destructive.
The wonderful new pet that you are adopting deserves to be valued. If your new pet is not the right fit for you and your household, with this contract, you are agreeing to return your new pet to us at any time after adoption. Even though we agree to take your pet back, this adoption is your commitment to make this placement work for your family and this new pet. Understand that your new pet may require training, medical care, and alterations to your home environment.
Please understand that having a dog or cat may require you to alter your current living environment. Alterations may include repairing your fence, installing a dog door, picking up shoes and/or putting away children’s toys.
Cats and dogs require regular healthcare needs; heartworm, flea and tick prevention, vaccinations, deworming, etc. With this contract, you are agreeing to provide all medical, physical, mental, and emotional needs of your new pet.
Some of our adoptable animals may have previous or current health issues. You will be educated about the individual’s accessible medical history prior to adoption. You may need to give specific medications, foods, and/or supplements for the rest of this pet’s life. You will be responsible for the continued treatment and care of the individual pet.
Continue with this contract only if you are willing to make necessary changes to your environment and lifestyle to accommodate your life with a new pet.
ADOPTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
I. I am at least 18 years of age, or am being accompanied by a parent or guardian.
II. If adopting a kitten or puppy, I agree to have the remainder of the vaccine series completed at the appropriate time, and to have my animal spayed or neutered when age appropriate. I agree to provide proof that the services were performed.
III. I understand that if I do not provide the appropriate medical, behavioral, environmental, and emotional care to this animal, Remy's Reign reserves the right to reclaim the pet.
IV. I understand that suddenly switching foods can make my pet very ill. In order to switch my pet to a new food, I agree to gradually switch the food over the course of seven days.
V. After adopting my new pet, I understand that I am responsible for any medical care and veterinary expenses after adoption.
VI. Should I ever become unable or unwilling to continue to fulfill these promises, I shall notify Remy's Reign immediately.
