All coaches must agree to and abide by our code of ethics
- I will remember that this is sport is for kids, NOT adults.
- I will remember my players’ well-being comes before any desire to win.
- I will ensure that my playing situation is safe for my players.
- I will treat my players with respect and remember all kids develop at their own pace.
- I will come to all practices and games prepared and organized.
- I will be familiar with the rules of the sport I am coaching, in accordance with DJYA rules. I will ensure that all players understand and follow all rules.
- I will remember that I am a role model and will conduct myself appropriately.
- I will have respect for myself, my coaching staff, players, game officials and spectators.
- I will adhere to the philosophy of the DeSoto Jets Youth Association while coaching this team.
