I will drop my camper off at 9 AM for regular hours unless previous early care has been arranged. If I have arranged early care, I will drop my camper off at the pre-arranged time. If an emergency arises making late or early drop off necessary, I will call the camp office at 517.548.1736.I will pick up my camper at 5pm unless previous late care has been arranged, at which pick up is no later than 6:00 PM. Should an emergency arise making late pick-up necessary, I will call the camp office prior to the scheduled pick up time at 517.548.1736.If I must drop off late or pick up early, I understand that it is strongly preferred that I drop off or pick up at lunchtime, when the entire group has gathered together in one place.I will drive according to posted speeds and only park at camp in approved locations and only during drop off and pick up times.I understand that if I am unable to pick up my camper by the scheduled time, I will be charged a late pickup fee. After my camper is 10 minutes or more late they will be placed into after care and I will be charged the after care fee of $10.00 per hour per camper.I will provide a lunch for my child daily making sure to clearly identify with his/her name. If my child arrives without a lunch, I understand that if Wildwood Ranch has to provide a lunch it will automatically be charged to your card on file for $12.00 per day. If no card is on file, you will need to pay cash at the end of the day.I will ensure that my child is dressed appropriately and has all necessary attire for the program each day. This includes a one-piece bathing suit (it is highly recommended that your child wear their suit under their clothes on Monday mornings to save on a long wait at changing time), towel, light jacket/sweatshirt, hat, appropriate footwear for activities (tennis shoes are recommended & they can pack a pair of flip flops), water bottle, sunscreen & bug spray (pre-applied for the morning is helpful).I am aware that inappropriate behaviors will not be tolerated. A child exhibiting any of the following behaviors may be immediately suspended from camp: violence, sexual harassment, endangering the safety of self, any camper or staff member, any type of discrimination, theft, verbal abuse, bullying and possession of any type of weapon. The camper’s parents will be called to pick up the camper immediately. At the end of the camp day, the incident will be reviewed by administrative staff and a determination will be made regarding the camper’s eligibility for ongoing attendance. Parents will be notified of the results of this review. Incidents will be handled on a case by case basis. No refund for any camp fees paid will be issued in the event of such disciplinary expulsion. Please discuss these expectations with your camper.I will ensure that my camper follows all camp rules and instructions of camp staff for their safety, enjoyment, and overall well-being of the program.I will check my camper’s belongings each day before drop off and upon pick up from camp so no personal items are lost or misplaced. Due to the volume of lost and found, Wildwood will hold unclaimed / unidentifiable items for one week only. Putting my camper’s name on every item I send to camp will help avoid this problem.Wildwood Ranch provides all equipment necessary for all camp activities. Any personal sports equipment brought to camp should be approved by the Program Director.Please do not bring any type of electronic equipment to camp. Wildwood Ranch has always had a policy of this type regarding electronics at camp, but with the recent rise of “sexting” we feel a responsibility to protect our campers from this activity. Additional forbidden items include: headphones, radios, CD players, iPods, mp3 players, iPads, TVs, cellular phones, portable game systems, laptops, tablets, Nooks, Kindles, smart watches, apple watches, etc. Also do NOT bring knives or any other weapon (fake or otherwise), magazines, non-prescription or illegal drugs, tobacco, alcohol, vape pens, or animals. Do not bring any medicines that are not in the original labeled container.If I bring my camper early or late to camp, I will follow the normal check in and check out procedure, making certain to check my camper in at the office or taken safely to a different pre-arranged drop-off place. I will never leave my camper unattended in the parking lot or grounds, nor will I take them from the property early without notifying the Program Director.I will maintain on file an accurate, fully completed Health History Form for the safety of my camper.I will make certain that any changes in my camper’s medical records / emergency phone numbers will be updated immediately to ensure the safety of my camper. You will receive a telephone call if your child experiences an injury or illness that dictates they go to the urgent care or the hospital, if the health officer wants your input about a health related incident or for any emergency at camp tat necessitates an early end time. I further understand that I will be responsible for covering any medical costs that arise from treatment or emergency transportation.I understand that emergency rescue medication may be needed for my camper. Any such emergency medication must be checked in to the Health Office and/or the Program Director and only carried by a camp staff member. No camper is permitted to carry medication.I am aware that full payment for a week of day camp is due on the 1st day of camp.I understand that the deposit for each week of camp is non-refundable. I understand that Day Camp operates rain or shine and will offer activities as weather allows. I understand that there will be no refunds issued for changes in the schedule necessitated by weather issues or unforeseen circumstances.I am aware that my camper ages (5-8) may be shown G rated movies and ages (9-15) may be shown PG rated movies that correlate with Bible stories or as entertainment on bad weather days.I am aware that campers have a busy, active schedule, with many of the activities taking place far from the main buildings.Campers will be expected to take bathroom breaks before or after schedule programs (counselors will remind them), and must be able to use the bathroom independently. Campers will be asked to wait for up to an hour between bathroom breaks on a regular basis, and will frequently use portable bathrooms. Please discuss this with your camper and determine if they will be able to meet these criteria.I understand that if my child(ren) are sent home due to behavioral issues more than three times during the summer, Wildwood Ranch reserves the right to terminate the remainder of their future involvement at camp. All deposits would then be forfeit.
Camper Behavior Expectations
1. Respect yourself – Participate in all activities willingly and with enthusiasm. Be a willing participant in the group! Give yourself a head start on a productive future.
2. Respect others – In the end we can only judge our effectiveness in life by those we encourage and empower within our community. Use this safe environment to show respect for your peers & experience respect flowing back to you.
3. Respect authority – They are here for you. Get the most from these relationships.
4. Respect Wildwood – Take ownership in the program. Turn out lights when you leave a room, pick up trash (even if someone else left it along the trail) - treat the buildings and grounds with respect. This is your home away from home!
5. HAVE FUN!!! Fun and fellowship can be a great catalyst to learning and application. If the above expectations are met, an environment charged with excitement will be produced!
Behavior Management Policies
- Step #1: Three strikes with the cabin counselor – minor consequences.Any minor inappropriate behavior is first dealt with at the cabin level. Under normal conditions a cabin counselor will correct a camper three times before taking the camper to the next level of discipline.
- Step #2: Visit to the supervisor – more consequences
  The next step involves the camper being removed from the cabin group and taken to a supervisor. The supervisor will listen to the camper and offer a route to restoration. Under normal circumstances, such a route will include an apology and an appropriate consequence.
- Step #3: Phone call to parent/guardian – more consequences
  If the first two attempts to foster appropriate behavior are ineffective - we will call the parent /guardian. It is the responsibility of the parent / guardian to be available (or have someone empowered to act on your behalf) at all times while your child is at camp.
  We must be able to contact someone at all times!
- Step #4: If nothing has worked thus far, the child must be picked up from camp (NOTE: Wildwood will not be responsible for the supervision of a camper after they have chosen by their behavior to withdraw from the program.) The camper’s parent / guardian must arrange transportation from Wildwood Ranch immediately.
If a camper consistently displays this inappropriate behavior, they will no longer be able to participate in camp. Further- more, the supervisors at Wildwood Ranch reserve the right to discontinue any child from the program if their behavior is detrimental to the growth and development of other campers.
Health Related Contact With Parents

You will also receive a telephone call if your child experiences an injury or illness that dictates he needs to go to the urgent care or the hospital, if there is an emergency at camp necessitating an early end time or if the health officer wants your input about a health related incident.
