You now have the opportunity to read and consider the Draft Neighbourhood Plan which has been prepared by the Parish Council. The Policies and Parish Actions are based on the findings of the Public and Stakeholder Consultations carried out by the Steering Group between 2021 and 2022.
At this point we need your feedback so that we can incorporate your views into the Plan before the formal 'Regulation 14' consultation takes place in 2024 involving statutory bodies (such as Natural England, The Environment Agency, Historic England, Nidderdale AONB, Highways Department etc) as well as with North Yorkshire Council, adjoining Parish Councils and any other interested parties. Residents will again have an opportunity to comment within the formal consultation.
It is important that we receive your thoughts now, as the basic premise to creating a Neighbourhood Plan is that it reflects what the community itself wants, so please let us know what you like and what you disagree with.
