Teen Maker Coach Application
This position is open to teens between the ages of 15 and 17 to volunteer in the HBPL Makerspace. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis while spaces are available.
What does a Teen Maker Coach Do?
Teen Maker Coaches will be assisting HBPL Makerspace Coaches as they teach library visitors how to use 3D printers, sewing and embroidery machines, Cricut machines, and the Glowforge laser engraver. No experience is required to apply - we'll teach you everything you need to know! Teen coaches are encouraged to learn the equipment and make things as well as teach. The knowledge you gain making will enhance your skills and make you a good coach. Experience learned in the Makerspace will give you a comfort level with technology the rest of your life.

The Makerspace is open on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2pm to 6pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. Teen Maker Coaches will be expected to commit to at least ONE weekly shift during the semester term (November 1, 2023 - January 31, 2024). Please indicate your availability during the dates & times below to commit to a volunteering shift at the Makerspace. NOTE: AS OF NOVEMBER 2023, WE ARE ESPECIALLY LOOKING FOR THURSDAY VOLUNTEERS!
