Welcome! The Inner Truth Project is a not-for-profit organization committed to changing the conversation and eliminating the shame and secrecy of sexual abuse, violence, or rape. We believe that speaking our truth in a safe, accepting, and healing environment is the first step on our journey forward.
We get it—healing isn't linear, but it's possible! The Inner Truth Project's 10-week program is here to empower you. We're not about dwelling on the past; we're about creating a stronger, more resilient you.
Who is this group for?
This group is for male-identified individuals aged 18+, who have experienced any kind of sexual trauma. "Sexual trauma can be defined as: an experience that negatively impacts the way you think and feel about sex and sexuality, which often leads to challenges in understanding and addressing personal self-challenges."
Sexual abuse can affect individuals at any stage of life, and it's crucial to dispel the myths surrounding male survivors. Men can be victims not only in adulthood but also during childhood and adolescence. Male sexual assault remains significantly underreported, with over 800,000 men having experienced rape or assault. It's essential to recognize that perpetrators can be of any gender. Many men grapple with profound feelings of shame or guilt because they believe they should have been able to protect themselves. Just as with women, it's essential to remember that non-consensual acts are still considered rape. Consent is the key, and regardless of the circumstances, if you did not consent, it is still rape.
Imagine a place where you can share, learn, and grow with a community of survivors who truly understand your journey. Our program offers a safe space, expert guidance, and a roadmap to healing. It's time to discover your inner strength and reclaim your life.
