NOCCA Foundation Student Support  Application

Through three initiatives – School Year, Summer Study, and Experience NOCCA Workshops assistance – the NOCCA Foundation Student Support Program aids NOCCA students’ dedication to excel as young artists and intellectuals.

The NOCCA Foundation additionally funds technology, guest artists, the mental health clinician, faculty professional development, Culinary Arts supplies, strategic planning, and capital support for NOCCA's learning environment. 

 

Should the cost of attending NOCCA be challenging, please complete this application.  

This application is for NOCCA students seeking financial assistance for:

● Arts department and Academic Studio fees

● Required private music lessons for Jazz and Classical Instrumental students

● School-organized travel (NATS, Chicago Unified, Dance Regionals)

● Up to two dual enrollment classes at UNO 

● College application fees for 12th grade students  

● NOCCA offered ACT Course fees for (11th and 12th grade students only)

● AP Test Fees

● The NOCCA Foundation DOES NOT fund Senior fees, past due fees or private lessons retroactively. 

 

Payment:

● Awards made by the NOCCA Foundation are paid directly to NOCCA on your behalf.

● If you apply for aid, please wait until you have been notified by an award letter from the NOCCA Foundation before making any payments to NOCCA. Decision notices will be sent out just after September 15, 2024, and the Labor Day holiday.

● If you receive a partial award towards your NOCCA fees, any remaining balances are due to NOCCA within two weeks of award notification.

Deadlines:

● Arts Department and Academic Studio fees: August 2, 2024

● Please note, it is crucial that forms be submitted on time to ensure a student's best chance of being approved for funding.  

● School organized travel (NATS, Chicago Unifieds, Dance Regionals): Due dates are determined and shared at the start of the school year by your art department.  

● Required private music lessons (that are not offered in-house) may be submitted throughout the school year but they are not paid retroactively.

Eligibility:

NOCCA Foundation support is based on financial need and availibility.   Please have financial documents ready to upload before starting this application.

To process your request, the NOCCA foundation must verify your total household income, which means the sum of all income that every adult contributes to your household.  If you are unable to provide 2024 tax documents, please use 2023 or another form of documentation of income listed below. 

We need only ONE of the following to verify your household income:

● Form 1040A from the parent’s/legal guardian’s 2024 tax return  

● The first two pages of parent or legal guardian's 2024 tax return

● A copy of 2024 W-2(s) 

● A copy of the parent/legal guardian’s 2024 IRS 1099 Forms

● A copy of the parent/legal guardian’s last two pay stubs, with pay period indicated 

● Copy of child support statement 

● Documentation of assistance ( SNAP, WIC, Unemployment, Social Security, etc.)
